At CECO-Uganda, we believe in the power of community, and that's why we organize various events throughout the year to bring people together for a common cause. From fundraising drives to awareness campaigns, our events are designed to create impact and drive change. You can stay up-to-date with our latest events by checking our website regularly.

Among the Events for 2024 will include; The Fort-Portal Farmers/Agricultural and Tourism Expo which willl be held in Fort-Portal Mid August 2024.  The other event will be a cultural show to be held in Nyankuku Village as part of the My Village Model Village being implemented by CECO-Uganda. 








 

These are the projects that we are currently implementing;

1. Promotion of Climate Smart agriculture in the Tooro region. CECO-Uganda through its programs is promoting the implementation of climate smart agricultural practices at the household level. The goal is improve food security and nutrition among targeted households. More that 2000 families are taking part in this project. 

3. Advocacy on: Air pollution and bringing to a complete stop of bush burning in Fort-Portal area.

2. 1-3 Million Trees Planting:

Since 2023, CECO-Uganda Embarked on a protracted journey to plant 1-3million trees by 2026 in the Tooro Sub region in Western Uganda. So far, about 150,000 trees have been planted. We thank our partners, Rwenzori development Foundation-UK and Joint Effort to Save the Environment who are so far supporting this project. 

3. Women Economic Empowerment Project: This project is targeting 1800 women and 250 women in Tooro to improve their incomes and livelihoods. Currently the project is implemented in Kyenjojo and Kabarole districts and is supported by Bantwana Edu. Inc

4- The Green skilling Project: CECO-Uganda is currently partnering with Joint Effort to Save the Environment to implement a green skills project targeting 700 landless youth and women adjacent to the Elephant corridor in Western Uganda. About half of these women and Youth have already graduation in green skills and have established eco-businesses in their respective villages.
